Iowa Regional Utilities Association (IRUA) wants every member and visitor to be able to use this website with ease. Accessibility is one of our core values. Our Commitment

IRUA is working toward conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more usable for people with disabilities, including people who are blind or have low vision, people who are deaf or hard of hearing, and people with mobility, cognitive, or learning disabilities.

We see accessibility as ongoing work rather than a finished project. As this website grows and changes, we’ll keep looking for ways to make it easier for everyone to use.

As we build and maintain this website, our efforts include:

• Writing in plain language and breaking information into clear, scannable sections
• Using headings and lists so pages have a logical structure for screen readers and keyboard users
• Working to provide text alternatives for meaningful images
• Working to keep color contrast, link text, and form labels clear and readable
• Reviewing pages for accessibility as content is added or updated

Third-Party Tools

Some services linked from this website are provided by outside vendors, including the customer portal and our online e-sign forms. IRUA does not control the design of these tools. After you sign an e-sign form, for example, you’ll need to confirm a verification email before the form is submitted. If that step or any other part of these tools is a barrier, please contact us and we’ll help you find another way to get it done.
